Introduction

What is the story? Let's pretend our pen pal is coming to visit us from Australia! He is so excited to be coming. He will be spending 10 days in New York! YAY! Some of his days here will be spent in school with us, to see how an American school day is. For some of his trip, he is looking forward to seeing Long Island and the Big Apple, Manhattan. We are having him come Thursday, April 14, 2005 to Sunday, April 24, 2005.
You have a very important job---getting our pen pal here and making sure he has a good time.

In groups, we are going to create an ITINARY (or schedule) and present it to the class in the form of a brochure. We are going to create the brochure using Microsoft Publisher. After we have presented it to the group we will pick the best ideas and VOILA, he will be here.
