Review: Organizing Genius
Each one of the colaborative projects that the author, Warren Bennis, describes, is unique and has specific lessons to be gleamed. The XEROX PARC collaboration is one such project.

PARC (Palo Alto Research Center)
A wonderful chapter dealing with the formation of the famous PARC laboratories for XEROX in the 1970's.  It is a collaboration of geniuses.  That is each participant came with way-above-average skills and in some cases way-above-average egos.   The collaboration leader, Bob Taylor led a group of brilliant research scientists.  What they invented, was nothing short of a social, political, scientific revolution. They developed (not invented) the concept of Interactive personal computing.
