PARC (Palo Alto Research Center)
A wonderful chapter dealing with the formation of the famous PARC laboratories for XEROX in the 1970's. It is a collaboration of geniuses. That is each participant came with way-above-average skills and in some cases way-above-average egos. The collaboration leader, Bob Taylor led a group of brilliant research scientists. What they invented, was nothing short of a social, political, scientific revolution. They developed (not invented) the concept of Interactive personal computing. |
